Description
If your inverter has a single port called BMS 485/CAN you need to split out the communications for the BMS and the SmartDeyeDongle to 2 seperate RJ45 Ports.
Inside of the case is clearly marked with colours. Follow the B-standard
RS485 – Orange & Brown wires = (pin 1,2,7,8) It is important that these 4 wires are disconnected from the battery as the battery might send signals that corrupts the signal.
CAN – Blue wires = (pin 4,5)
The same can be achieved without a network box by cutting up a network cable.
You need to split the port on the following models:
- The newer Single Phase 5kW, 10kW, 12kW, 16kW and the 15kW split Phase
- Most Three Phase Low Voltage inverters with the modebus port (you might be lucky and the modebus might work for writes on your firmware)
